High quality Materials matters

High quality materials like leather of even good faux leather makes wearing heels a lot more comfortable.

These materials stretch out and molds perfect around your feet. Bad quality materials like perspex (clear material) do not stretch, which makes them uncomfortable to wear.

Always touch and feel the material of your heels with your hands and on your feet.

Take in between breaks from wearing heels to give your feet some rest

When you are breaking into new heels, it’s important that you give yourself a break after wearing the heels for two hours. Go for a lower and more comfortable ‘‘take a break’’ heel. By doing this your feet will not hurt if you decide to wear your higher heels again after the break.

Cottonballs to fill shoes

When your shoes just don’t seem to fit right, because they’re too big, you can use cotton balls to stuff your heels

It’s important that you put the cotton balls in the toe box, (that’s the front of your shoes, where your toes rest).

Just make sure you use the right amount of cotton balls, you don’t want to make your heels feel to snug on your feet.

Baking Soda for neutralizing your smelly heels

Baking soda is one of those household items you can use for a lot of things.

Baby/ Talcum powder to prevent sliding forwards in heels

Sweaty feet can be annoying for so many different reasons.

On of the reasons is that it makes walking in heels difficult, because it makes your feet slides forward in your heels. This is the reason why your toes starts clenching, because your feet want to have more grip in the heels.

You can prevent slipping forward in heels our shoes by keeping your feet dry with baby or talcum powder.

The powder absorb the moisture and keep everything nice and dry and above that, it leave your heels smelling nice.

Blowdry your shoes to stretch them out

We all know how it feels when you find the perfect pair of stylish heels, but then you find out they are too tight.

This can be annoying and a lot of times women choose not to wear those shoes anymore.

With this blow-dryer trick you can make your heels wider and make them the right fit for you. Just wear your thickest socks and put your tight shoes on.

Then you want to blow-dry (on mid-low settings) your shoes and wiggle your toes.

Be very careful with putting too much heat on your shoes, you don’t want to ruin them.

Use cornplaster to numb the pain on your toes

This hack is personally my favourite! I used to think that we women just had to endure pain while wearing heels. So, I used to wear a lot of heels that did not fit right.

After wearing these heels my feet would reject the tight shoes by creating corns on the most sensitive spots on my feet, my precious little toes.

These corns would be so painful that I could not even wear simple flat shoes. After doing some research I found out that these painful spots are called corns.

And in the nearest drugstore you can find some special active ingredient called: salicylic acid. This acid dissolves the thick corn skin and at the same time numbs the pain.

So, as soon you slap these plasters on your toes you can wear your favourite heels again. Just make sure that the heels are not too thight.

Tape 3rd and 4rth toes to avoid pain while wearing heels

This hack is very useful if you have a long day ahead and don’t want to be bothered with painful feet from wearing heels.

The only thing you need is some good old fashioned tape and tape the 3rd and 4th toes together, it takes the pressure off the ball of your feet.

In some weird scientific way it also blocks a nerve ending and it’s preventing you from feeling a lot of agony.

I love using this tape trick whenever I have to slay on high heels for many hours. Just make sure you don’t tape your toes too tight around your toes, because you can stop your blood circulation in your toes.

Use pantyliner to keep your feet from sliding forward in heels

On hot summer nights my feet in heeled sandals would be like: Slidin' on the water like a jet-ski, yeah.

This feeling can be prevented by sticking a thin pantyliner in your heels. Not only will this give your feet some comfortable pillow sensation, it also absorb the sweat and prevent you from sliding forward in heels.

Just make sure you don’t use those thick fluffy pantyliners they used to hand out in school, because you will see them when you are walking in your heeled sandals.

Use dry-shampoo and hairspray to prevent sliding forward in heels

Your feet can slide in your heels for many reasons, it can be because of sweaty feet or your heels are too wide or too big. This annoying feeling makes your toes clench your heels for more grip. This can be stressful and at the same time it looks like you’re a rookie in wearing heels. Dry shampoo and hairspray are good solutions and will give your feet more grips. So, just spray some dry shampoo or hairspray on the bottom of your heels and voila you are good to go.
